Okay, let's see where I'm at. I haven't cleaned up the grammar (so it's got all of the old vowels in it still, among other things), but I did annotate all of my current roots with a part of speech, and add a few more. I can form basic sentences, which are sometimes... kind of long. Like "Go jetar irgen sjysin?" That's "Where am I?", and there should probably be a way to get that under five syllables. It's at seven syllables, and eleven morae. Maybe this is just going to be a wordy language, I don't know.
From another perspective, if I rearrange it a little, I get "Go jetar sjy irgensin?" for roughly "Who/what put me here?", and "Go jetar sjy kalsin?" for specifically here. Maybe I need to just make the placeholder noun shorter. Point is, these are all comparable in length, which is a reasonable outcome of trying to break down and redistribute the meanings like this.
Anyway, I started working on at least classifying the words from a Swadesh list in an effort to have a slightly broader base of vocabulary, but I got tripped up pretty quickly. I'll have to try again when I'm better-rested.
Good night.
