Weekly Roundup 2026-05-05
- Wednesday: To project a sphere, I must project a circle. This is difficult.
- Thursday: SymPy gave me an equation of the projected ellipse. This took a perceptible amount of time.
- Friday: Stuff happened, and I don't feel like talking about it here.
- Saturday: I had some thoughts about the "right" way to handle ellipse transforms, and I don't know that they all panned out.
- Sunday: I got more of a qualitative feel for some of these formulas.
- Monday: I had a look at the concrete formulas, and concluded that I need tests in order to feel comfortable deploying them.
Next week, I got some stuff done today on the math side of things, so I'll test that out and see how it looks... after I've written enough tests to pull everything out into separate modules.
