Oh boy. I did not have the focus to do much today, at least not that I feel like writing down. I figured out some of the potentially-biologically-significant aspects of Clifford chemistry, but I don't feel like I've written up enough of the foundational stuff to explain things. The quick version is that the equivalent of cyclopentane should be able to avoid bond strain, which probably has some kind of implication for the equivalent of ribose, but I'm distracted by the possibility that there's potentially an allotrope similar to diamond, but with no direct three-dimensional equivalent. Or possibly there's no way to extrapolate the relevant structure outward, and it's just a weird crystal defect. Or maybe it's simply a substituent in a more complex crystal structure.

I need to find someone to discuss this stuff with. Later. For now, sleep.

Good night.
