I picked Jujutsu for now, and I don't fully have a handle on what workflow I want, but I've got the beginnings of something.
It turns out that "doing stuff with XML" is a pretty broad field, and "parse out Leo files and barely think about the XML" is pretty different from "generate SOAP payloads". I haven't generated a full payload, but I've put together enough components that I'm confident that I can smash something together with lxml, if the SOAP-specific libraries don't work for some reason.
With a bit more tinkering, I've got a good-enough handle on the software side of things; getting this to work the way I want is likely to be a project, but it should be a manageable one. With that out of the way, the next step is to make sure I know exactly what I want to buy, and exactly what the various third-party sellers are pitching me. Once everything matches up nicely, I'll put in the order, and wait, and possibly need to go to the UPS store for pickup because I don't trust them to actually deliver anything expensive.
Regardless, there's nothing more to do tonight, so I'm going to wrap things up.
Good night.
