Hm. I haven't quite worked out the right way to integrate my BEM helper code with both Jinja and svgwrite. I've got something that probably works for Jinja, and something that might work for svgwrite. To properly test this, I'm going to need to write something to output CSS, which... might as well be in Jinja.

Anyway, I've spent enough time thinking about this and tweaking it for tonight. Tomorrow, I get to work un-stubbing the CSS function and attempting to actually style my HTML.
