All right, I've made all of the obvious typing-related changes to MOTR's code. If I'm not going to write tests for plugin-related cases I can't figure out how to hit, I guess I need to go between improving test coverage and improving names.

I suppose one other thing I can do is work on documenting the saltate plugin thoroughly enough that I feel confident using it, and then getting test coverage up that way...

Anyway, I'll see what I'm up for later, because I'm really tired now.
